My Story

I knew from the time I was a little girl, I wanted to help people. My inspiration came from my mom who taught my brother, sister and me to look beyond ourselves to the needs of others. I watched and learned how she selflessly put others before herself and how she recognized the good in people. I was raised to love God and to love others no matter how hard life gets or whatever circumstances we are in. I know that God has been the constant and driving force throughout my life. I am so blessed that He led me to my beloved husband and best friend Rick of 38 years and has blessed us with our wonderful son Ricky and daughter Susie.

I am a singer and my husband is a guitarist. We enjoy singing songs that connect people. I enjoy biking, hiking, going to baseball games, planning events, ministry and service work.

Enjoying time with my husband Rick, son Ricky, daughter Susie, family and friends, laughing, talking, while enjoying a good cup of coffee and a biscotti.

“Therefore encourage one and other and build one and other up, just as you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11

My Career Story

From a young age, I noticed many people who have challenges and hardships also have the best spirit and attitudes. I knew I wanted to work with people with special needs. I have 40 years of experience in education as a Teacher, Behavioral Health Counselor, Life Coach, and Facilitator. I have a bachelor degree in Special Education from Duquesne University where I also did graduate work in Counseling. I am blessed to have had many opportunities to work and collaborate with amazing educators and empower children and adults to recognize, develop and use their gifts and talents. Throughout my career of working with children, adults and their families, I have learned so much and continue to learn from them every day! They are my heroes!

“Anna is the colleague I depend on when I am ‘stuck’ in negativity and need a hand pulling myself out of it! She reminds me why I love my work."
