My Story

I was born and raised an only child in Cumberland, MD where I attended Catholic school for 12 years. Being an only child, I immediately cherished time with others, especially family and friends. Growing up, I spent my time visiting family at our “Lakehaus” in Conneaut Lake, PA (which my maternal grandfather built), having weekly Sunday dinners with my entire immediate family, and soaking up the sun at the local pool with my friends. Currently, I live in Pittsburgh, PA with my incredible husband, Michael, and our sweet pup, Piper Glenn.

“Yesterday is the past, tomorrow is the future, but today is a gift. That is why they call it the present”. My 95year old grandmother had this handwritten on an index card that hung her fridge for years.

My Career Story

I had always been drawn to the field of psychology and ultimately received a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in marketing from Hood College. While there, I worked as an employment specialist for Goodwill Industries and developed a passion for behavior and working with those who are differently abled. I pursued a Master of Education in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism at California University of PA and became a licensed behavior specialist. Before System 123, I was contracted by a school to provide behavior support and I worked for an agency as an enhanced habilitation aid and behavior specialist for adults.
