My Story

I grew up in Romania and moved to the US at the age of 12. After graduating from high school, I studied Biology and later earned my Masters degree in Elementary Education at California University of Pennsylvania. I loved teaching third and fifth grade, mentoring, and creating partnership programs for students in Pittsburgh’s Urban Pathways K-5 Charter School. In my spare time I try to cook, read, and travel as much as I can.

Too many to list, but at the moment it’s Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain.

My Career Story

I joined System 1-2-3 in 2021, after a decade of experience in the world of education. I am currently pursuing a dual title PhD in Education Theory and Policy, along with Comparative and International Education, from Penn State University. My work revolves around the intersections of social emotional learning, educational policy, and achievement. I employ research-based practices in order to cultivate relationships that support successful outcomes through student advocacy and educational leadership.
