My Story

I was born in Maryland but grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Growing up, I remained active playing soccer and field hockey and took dance classes. I met my husband in college and we later moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. After we had our oldest son, we knew we wanted to be closer to family. We were thrilled with a move to Baltimore and welcomed our youngest son. We were pleasantly surprised with a move to Westmoreland County, where we are enjoying living close to my husband’s family.
I love to dance, sing, and bake cookies.

My Career Story

In high school, I was a summer camp counselor and student dance teacher. I majored in Dance at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where I explored courses in movement, psychology, special education and art. I later taught at a preschool and my childhood dance studio. I was drawn to the most challenging children and enjoyed creating social-emotional opportunities. When my children started receiving early intervention services, I realized that I wanted to utilize my experiences as a camp counselor, dancer, teacher, nanny, and parent to help others.
